20 May NESS innovation conquers at BBConstrumat in Barcelona
The NESS system arrived, was presented and conquered at BBConstrumat.. With that simple but direct phrase could be summarized the passage of Metrica6 with water-saving technology NESS by the Construction Fair ‘Barcelona Building Construmat’ held in the Catalan capital from 14 to 17 May at Fira Barcelona. An international event that brought together hundreds of professionals in the sector. With 405 exhibitors and more than 1,000 brands represented, BBConstrumat occupied 14,889 m2 net, in an edition in which Métrica6 presented the NESS technology, a system capable of saving up to 56% of the water bill.
At 5 p.m. on 14 May, the official opening ceremony of the 21st edition of the Fira de Barcelona International Construction Exhibition took place, with the presence of the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Quim Torra, and the Minister of Public Works, José Luis Ábalos, accompanied by the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Pedro Saura; The Minister of Territory and Sustainability, Damià Calvet; the Mayor of L’Hospitalet, Núria Marín; the General Manager of Fira de Barcelona, Constantí Serrallonga; and the President of Barcelona Building Construmat, Ana Vallés, among other personalities. All of them visited the fair and were interested in the proposals presented in this new edition, such as NESS technology from Métrica6, which highlighted “the enormous usefulness in the daily lives of users who, thanks to this device, can make a more sustainable and responsible use of water, without wasting a single drop”. On the other hand, the CEO of Métrica6, Eduardo Dueñas had the opportunity to give a presentation at BBConstrumat on the NESS technology, which is positioned at a constructive level as an alternative to the double return branch for hot water.
Métrica6’s participation in BBConstrumat 2019 is part of one of the challenges promoted by the Sorigué Group – a reference in the sectors of hydraulic technology and engineering, services, construction and innovative materials with a vocation of return to society – in which participants were asked, “How can we adapt to new housing demands? This challenge sought innovative technologies and tools to shorten project timeframes and promote a cleaner and more sustainable industry, reducing the cost of construction and rehabilitation in dense urban areas by making housing more affordable for all. NESS water-saving technology was selected by Sorigué as the winner of the sustainable construction challenge and was therefore present with them in this edition of BBConstrumat 2019.
Métrica6 has created the NESS Technology, marketed in Spain by GRUPO PRESTO IBÉRICA, a system that is installed in any type of home or establishment where hot water is used, to make it more intelligent and efficient. Its objective is to bring hot water from the installed heater to the room where it will be used, without wasting a single drop. The technology drives the cold water stagnant in the installation, through a process of temporary recirculation and on demand of the user whose return is carried out through the cold water pipes. Therefore, it is not necessary to add additional piping or a new water tank, as water is stored within the piping itself while the recirculation cycle is active. This is how NESS Technology was born, an innovative system with which to save those litres of drinking water that were lost through the drain during each use, and all this with the comfort of a sensor similar to the light switch. A simple gesture and you will have hot water throughout your home or premises without wasting a drop. With you we will offer the next generations a more sustainable world.
